How To Set up and Customize The Video Player

Learn how to set up the video player and customize it to match your store's shopping experience.

After creating your shoppable video widget, you have to ensure the video player is customized to match your brand guidelines and the assets of your Shopify theme, such as the colors, buy button behavior, and more.

Here are the steps to follow: 👇

Step 1: Navigate to the On-site video, and from the Product Pages or Other Pages tab, click on the video widget for which you intend to customize the video player.

Step 2: 
Click the Edit Player button to open up the customization screen.

Step 3:
Start by changing the Styling of the video player and click on Save Changes when you're done.

Change the colors to match your brand, and choose whether you'd like to display your brand's logo, the Videowise logo, or not show any logo at all. 

Step 4: Customize the Buy Button style and behavior.

There are different Buy Button behaviors from which you can choose the one that best fits the experience you want to provide your shoppers with. 👇

  • Add to cart → Shopper goes directly to the cart page.
  • Add to cart + Custom script → Product added to cart & execute script.
  • Direct to cart + Redirect to URL → Product is added to cart & shopper redirected to URL.
  • Virtual cart → Shopper stays in video & can add other products to cart.
  • Direct to checkout → Shopper goes directly to the checkout page.

Step 5: You can easily change Product details such as the product name color, stock color, shipping information, and even recommended products.

Step 6: In the Settings section, you can mute the sound when the video starts.
