How to build email flows

This article will cover all the use cases available for repurposing video UGC into your email strategy.

Videowise provides different widgets' use cases for email flows that you can build in Klaviyo, allowing you to use high-quality GIFs that won't impact the performance and deliverability of your emails.

In order to get started, head over to Videowise and locate "Emails & SMS" on the left menu.

You will find all the different pre-defined use cases when clicking on "New Campaign"

This is where you will find your existing email campaigns, and where you can create new ones. To create a new one, click on "New campaign" on the top right of your screen.

How to create a widget and add it to Klaviyo emails

We will show an in-depth tutorial for the "Cart Abandonment" use case, and we will cover only specific changes for other use cases. The process to add a widget using an HTML Block in Klaviyo will stay the same for all use cases.

Cart Abandonment

This email is sent to users who have left items in their cart without completing a purchase.

If you'd like to include video GIFs inside your cart abandonment flow, click on the "Cart Abandonment" card.

You will be asked to populate a video playlist for each of your products (if it hasn't been done already) in order to automate this process and the display of video GIFs for your products.

You can then head over to the widget design section, where you can choose:

  • The theme: whether it's carousel or shoppable

  • Destination: add UTM to your product page link

  • Change the corner radius of the thumbnail preview

Hit "Save" and head over to "Player design".

There you can customise:

  • The buy button behaviour, styling and details.

  • Your product details, styling and information you would like to display on the player.

  • The possibility to display subscription terms (you will need to have a subscription app integrated)

  • The shoppable product button that opens the product details.

Once happy with all the settings, click on "Publish Widget" in the top right of your screen, and then "Copy code".

Then, head over to your Klaviyo's abandoned cart flow.
Find the email where you would like to add Videowise's widget, and click on "Edit".

Drag & drop an HTML Block section to your email, and paste over the code. This should populate the videos instantly.

Trending Videos

This email is sent to highlight viral videos that may spark interest in your users.

If you'd like to boost the success of your email campaigns with highly viral videos, click on the "Trending videos" card.

This will create a new "Trending video" widget, where you will be asked first to create a playlist of videos that you want displayed.

Choose up to 3 videos to feature.

Product Launch

This email is sent to announce a new product, sparking excitement and driving sales.

We recommend using a landscape video, which will cover the whole width of your email, as for this particular use case, only one video is needed.

Browse Abandonment

This email is sent to users who browsed products but didn't buy, encouraging a return.

The Browse Abandonment email works almost like the cart abandonment one.

You will be asked to add videos for each of your products so Videowise can generate an automated playlist to display based on your customers' browsing behaviour and what products they visited.

Welcome Flow

This email is sent to new users to welcome them and introduce your brand.

We recommend using a landscape video, which will cover the whole width of your email, as for this particular use case, only one video is needed.

Post Purchase

This email is sent after purchase to thank customers and encourage repeats.

For this use case, we recommend adding 3 videos and adding the Shoppable theme in the Widget design page to encourage upsells and repeat purchases.
