How to invite multiple hosts

Similar to configuring a normal live show, go to the "Hosts" section under Video Source and start by adding yourself and any other hosts you would like to invite to participate.

You will need to complete the rest of the live show set-up, just like for any other normal shows, before you can send email invites to the other hosts.

Once you're ready, hit the "Complete and Schedule" button on the top right to start sending the invites.

There is no limit to how many hosts you can invite to join the live stream.

How to accept the invite to join a live show as a host

Once the show is scheduled, you will receive an email with a button to join the live show as a host.

Click on it, and you will be redirected to the live shopping session as a host. First, you will be required to allow your microphone and camera access.

Please make sure to grant access to your microphone and camera, otherwise, you won't be able to join the Live Studio.

Then, you'll have access to a preview of your camera and microphone settings, and you will also be required to input your name. Once ready to go, hit "Join Waiting Room"

What you can do as an invited host:

  • Your camera is required, and you can switch between different views (on your phone: from the front to the back camera, for example)

  • Your microphone can be turned off / on

  • If you are joining the live show from your laptop, you are also able to share your screen

Moderation and Layout Tools

Only the moderator will be able to chat and pin comments, as well as feature products during the live stream.

To go live, the moderator will need to:

  • Accept the invite sent to their email, and follow the same steps to join the show as a host.

  • Open Videowise on their computer, open the live show, and head over to the "Moderate" section.

Moderation tools

On there, the moderator will be able to see all connected hosts that are in the waiting room. Once a host is in the waiting room, you will see an icon with their name appear on the top right of the "moderate" page.

When hovering over it, it will give the moderator capabilities to:

  • Turn on/off a host's live stream

  • Remove a host from the live stream

  • Mute or unmute a host

Layout

We offer 5 different layouts:

  • Picture in Picture mode: Small video window over main content, always visible.

  • Contain mode: Video fits fully inside the container, no cropping.

  • Cover mode: Video fills container completely, may crop edges.

  • HalfScreen mode: Video occupies half the screen, content fills the other half.

  • Spotlight mode: Only displays the primary host camera.

In order to switch between different layout modes, the moderator will be able to do that from the "moderate" page, and the different layout options will be visible at the bottom of the page.

You can also change the primary host source by switching them from the hover section on the top right of the page. Just select the draggable icon next to the host and move it to the top/bottom in order to change their position on the screen.

The first position is the primary host and will be for example the only one visible if you selected the "Spotlight mode" layout.

That's it! Schedule your first show, invite all your hosts, and wait for them to all be in the waiting room to click "Start show".
