When setting up your Live Shopping Event, you have the option of simulcasting the event to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Twitch or a Custom host.

Instagram

Important notes

If you’re planning to simulcast your live shopping event to Instagram, please make sure to follow the instructions below to avoid any streaming interruptions.

  • Connect your Instagram account to Videowise.
    Make sure the connection is active and valid in the Videowise backend.

  • Start the Instagram stream manually before going live.
    Go to your Instagram Live Video menu and click “Go Live” manually.
    Do this around 5–10 minutes before the live show starts.

  • Keep the Instagram Live page open.
    Once you click “Go Live”, do not close the page. Keep it open in your browser or app until you’re live.

  • Only generate your stream key and URL just before going live.
    Instagram changes the stream key and URL frequently.
    If you generated the stream key earlier and added it to Videowise during scheduling, it’s likely no longer valid.

  • You CANNOT update the stream key once the show has started.
    If you start your show and the Instagram key doesn’t match, you won’t be able to update it mid-stream.
    In that case, you would need to create a new show and start from scratch.

Configure your Instagram live show

  1. Go to your Instagram account -> Create -> Live video

2. Copy the Stream URL and Stream key, and copy them into their respective fields in the Live Shopping event.

3. Once the above step is completed, you should see the Instagram simulcasting as being "Activated".

4. Once the Live Shopping event starts, you will need to manually start it for Instagram by going to the Live Video menu and clicking on "Go Live".

Please be advised that the Instagram stream will only show the video stream, without the chat and the products: you will need to access the initial Videowise Live Shopping event in order to have access to all the aforementioned features.

Important best practice: If you are simulcasting on Instagram, don't forget to pin your Shows Channel link page in the comments of the IG live shows - this way, your IG viewers can access the initial show where they can actually purchase the products from.

To set up your Shows Channel page, you can find all the necessary information here.

Facebook

  1. Go to your Facebook account -> Live video

2. Copy the Stream key and then go to Advanced Settings and copy the Server URL.

3. Once the above step is completed, you should see the Facebook simulcasting as being "Activated".

4. Similar to the Instagram stream, you will need to go to the "Live video" menu and click on "Go Live".

There is also the possibility to schedule broadcasts. In this case, the stream will automatically start when the initial stream starts.

Youtube

Similar to other platforms, you will need to get the stream URL and stream RTMP key and paste them into Videowise in order to activate Youtube simulcasting.

Once this is activated, the stream will start on YouTube automatically once the Live Shopping event starts.

X

The same principle applies as for other social media platforms. You will need to simply copy/paste the Stream URL and Stream key from X onto Videowise to activate it. Here's how-to:

  1. Select Producer tab → Click Create Source

  2. Fill Source Name and select RTMP as source Type and your preferred region

  3. The view should be updated with your Source Details → Click RTMP(s) stream key to show it.

    Also remember to update your Source name as you will need it for the next steps.

  4. Create a broadcast and select previous created source

Similar to some other platforms, you will need to manually go live on X in order to simulcast from Videowise.

Linkedin

Similar to other platforms, you will need to get the stream URL and stream RTMP key and paste them into Videowise in order to activate Linkedin simulcasting.

In order to host live streams on Linkedin, make sure you fit all the access criteria listed on this page.

  1. Complete details about region and click on "get URL".

  2. Your stream URL and stream RTMP key will now appear.

  3. Simply copy and paste them into Videowise's modal and you're all set to activate Linkedin simulcast.

Similar to some other platforms, you will need to manually go live on Linkedin in order to simulcast from Videowise.

Twitch

Similar to other platforms, you will need to get the stream URL and stream RTMP key from your Twitch account and paste them into Videowise in order to activate Twitch simulcasting.

2FA using a mobile phone number is needed for this step. Without 2FA, the Stream Key will not be provided by Twitch.

  1. Click in the right corner on your profile picture and go to Stream Summary

  2. From the left sidebar go to Settings → Stream

  3. Get your Stream Key from Primary Stream Key

  4. Twitch will not provide the Stream URL (Stream Ingest Server) as this is up to you to choose one of the following based on your location.

    Available stream URLs are:

Default
rtmp://ingest.global-contribute.live-video.net/app/{stream_key}
Europe: Austria, Vienna (2)
rtmp://vie02.contribute.live-video.net/app/{stream_key}
Europe: Poland, Warsaw (2)
rtmp://waw02.contribute.live-video.net/app/{stream_key}

rtmp://ams02.contribute.live-video.net/app/{stream_key}
Europe: Netherlands, Amsterdam (3)
rtmp://ams03.contribute.live-video.net/app/{stream_key}

In order to paste it into Videowise, you simply need to replace {stream_key} with your Primary Stream Key collected before.

Twitch's livestream will automatically start as soon as you're going live on Videowise.

Custom host

Simply copy/paste the Stream URL and Stream key for the Custom host.

Enjoy your live shopping experience across multiple social media platforms.
