Videowise's live shopping tools enable you to simulcast on Instagram and display featured product cards on your live Instagram show using custom codes.
These custom codes can be copied and sent in chat by your viewers, who will then automatically receive a direct message from Videowise with a link to your product's page.
In order for Videowise to properly track Instagram's live sales, please make sure to have at least version 1.7 of our tracking pixel installed on your store.
Connect your Instagram account
In order to send automated messages from your Instagram account to your viewers, we will require you to integrate and authorise access to your Instagram account.
Head over to Settings > Integrations > Social media, and add your Instagram account to link it to Videowise.
In case you had previously integrated your Instagram account, but you now see this warning banner: "Reconnect the following Instagram accounts to benefit from the latest Instagram API permissions", please disconnect and reconnect your account for this feature to work properly.
Configure Instagram's comment-to-buy feature
First, head over to Settings > Live Shows > Instagram to set up the look and feel of the product cards, name and direct messages as they will appear on your Instagram live.
The styles part will let you change the background color of the product card, as well as the text color of the code.
Below that, you will be able to edit the Code name appearing on the product card.
The product code must not be more than 4 characters, and the numbers can't be edited as they will be populated automatically.
You can then change the automated template message sent from your Instagram account when a user sends a product code in chat.
Custom tags available:
{{product_name}}: Will display the corresponding product's name based on the comment code your customer sent
{{product_link}}: This will automatically send the product page link of the corresponding product
Launch your live shopping event and simulcast it on Instagram
To experience this feature, you will first need to have a live shopping show scheduled and simulcasted on Instagram.
On the moderate page, start by adding one or multiple products to be featured during the show.
Then, launch your live shopping event from the Videowise dashboard, and go live on Instagram.
Once you want to display a product card with the product code on your Instagram live event, you will need to click on the product in order to feature it.
A featured product will have a border and red dot appear once you feature it.
Wait for a couple of seconds and, on your Instagram live show, you will see the product card of your featured products appear.
Now, your customers just have to send a chat message with the code (make sure to tell them that it is case sensitive), and they will receive an automated direct message from your account with a link to your product page.
Tracking and Analytics
We added a new row in your Live shows' dedicated analytics. You can now find details about live sales coming from Instagram right below the "on-site" ones.
In addition to that, Videowise will automatically inject UTM variables to the product page URL like below, so you can track them in Google Analytics and any other analytics tools you use.
