How to set up a Live Shopping Streaming session

This article describes the Live Shopping feature and all the steps required to start your own streaming session.

Step 1: Go to Live Shopping -> Shows -> New live show

Step 2: Complete all the details in the "Set up" tab, as follows:

SHOW TITLE: The title for the show that will appear in the "Live & Upcoming shows" tab of the Live Shopping feature, and also on the Shows Channel page.
DESCRIPTION: The description of the live show (try to add as much relevant info as possible, for your viewers to know exactly what to expect)

PROMO TEXT: This text will hover around the live shopping transmission during the duration of the event (you can add promo codes, for example, so viewers can access this information as easily as possible).
DATE & TIME: Select the day and time at which you want the live shopping event to start - you are only allowed to select between 15 minutes increments (no custom time can be set), and please make sure to select the correct timezone.

SHOW COVER: The image that will be the cover of the live shopping event.
VIDEO SOURCE: "Videowise Mobile app" enables you to stream directly from the Mobile App.

When using the Videowise Mobile App, before logging in, these steps must be followed:

  1. Create a Live Shopping event and set a host;

  2. The host needs to use the magic link to login;

  3. After logging in, the host can set a password - after that, they can log in with their email and password.

The first login with the magic link must use the same email as the selected host's.

"Pre-recorded video" allows you to upload a video that will play during the live shopping event (the video needs to be uploaded directly into the platform, you cannot select it from the Videowise Library).
"Custom source (RTMP)" allows you to stream from a custom source, provided you offer the required details - URL, Stream Key and Playback url.

Host - Select the host of the event, or add a new host (via email address). The host will be the one to moderate the event and keep the audience entertained.

Policy terms - Due to GDPR compliance requirements, you will need to have a policy in place for the live shopping events. You can set it up for all your events by using the "Global live shopping settings" - simply click on "Global style settings", which will take you to Settings -> Live shows. Otherwise, you can deactivate the global settings and update the terms for every live shopping event.

Step 3: Go through the Settings of the Live Shopping event.

Step 4: Set up the pop-up that will appear on the site during the live show (please be advised that you can't edit the pop-up before adding a Show Cover in the previous step).

Step 4.1 - Promote

Media - Set a new cover for your Live Shopping event (if you don't add anything, the initial image uploaded in the Show Cover tab in the previous step will appear)

Display Rules - Set up where you want the Live Shopping pop-up widget to appear on the site (by default, it will be set to appear on all the pages).

Widget design - Set up the design of the widget, the same as for any other Pop-up widget.

Step 4.2 - Moderate

Add the products that will appear during the live shopping event.

After adding the products, you can highlight them by clicking on them - this will ensure they remain highlighted during the live shopping event.

Optional: You can add comments before the start of the show and even pin them, to ensure they remain visible even when other comments will be added (in case you want your viewers to access a certain promo code, for example).

Step 5: After checking that everything is set up as intended, click on "Complete & Schedule" - now the show will appear in the Shows tab, in the "Upcoming Shows" section.

All you need to do now is wait until the show starts, at the time & day you have set up. Happy Live Shopping! :)
