How to create a Mini video Testimonial Widget

Follow these instructions to create, edit and install a testimonial widget on your Shopify Store.

Follow the instructions below to learn how to create a product video widget: πŸ‘‡

Step 1: Go to the Widgets section βž” Click New widget βž” All widgets βž” Select Mini video Testimonial widget:

Step 2: Click βž” three dots icon and select rename widget to name your widget and start using it

Step 3: Click βž” Click Use different videos per page, then Click βž” Add videos (you can add more than one)

Step 4: Click on the video and turn on Testimonial:

Step 5: Add the following information to the Testimonial, once done click βž” SAVE
​

Step 6: Click βž”Widget Design (customise to suit the styling of your site)

Step 7: Customize the video player design πŸ‘‡

Step 8: Install the widget on your Shopify pages by following these installation steps:

Step 1: Click β†’ Publish widget β†’ Copy code:

Step 2: Go to your Shopify store. Under Online Store βž” click Themes βž” Customize

Step 3: In the App embeds tab enable the Videowise app extension.

Step 4: Go back to the Sections tab and select the page from the Search Bar

Step 5: Click Add Section (to add a new section to the page) on the left menu, or Add Block (to add a block in an already existing section).

Step 6: In the search tab, type Videowise, and select Videowise Videos from the apps.

Step 7: A Videowise Embed section has popped up βž” Go back to the Videowise app βž” Copy the code from the Published tutorial page ( Step 1) βž” Paste it here:

Step 8: Click Save when you are ready and it’s done!

Step 9: Click three dots icon on the left hand page and click preview to check the page:

Pro tip: After installing any widget, please perform a hard reload (CTRL-SHIFT-R for Windows or Command-SHIFT-R for Mac) on the page with the installed widget in order to refresh the cache and thus making sure you are seeing the latest version of the page.
