Using Videowise with metafields

First, let's see how metafields are created.

In order to create a metafields, go to your Shopify dashboard -> Settings → Custom Data → choose the part of your store where you want to show the metafield (Product Page, Collection, Page, Blog, etc…)

In this example, we’ll create a metafield for a Product instance.

Go to Products → Add definition

In the opened window, add the data (name, key) and select the type (we recommend using Single line text and Multi-line text). Then click save.

Now the is Metafield created and you can add it as a dynamic source to your sections.

Note: To embed a Videowise widget using dynamic source your input type should be text or inline_richtext; we recommend using the text input type (you can learn more about Shopify input settings).

Go to the specific template where you want to update the data and select the section where you have text or inline_richtext input; if your theme doesn’t support that get in touch with our customer support by chat or email.

Click Connect dynamic source and select the metafield you created.

Click save and that’s it, you added the value from the Videowise metafield directly to your Shopify section :).

Note: at the moment Videowise blocks support only the html input type.
