How to track accounts

In this article, we'll show you how to effectively track Instagram/TikTok accounts of your choice.

By defining specific accounts to follow, you'll seamlessly gather all relevant content from these accounts, automatically saving it to your "My UGC" section daily. Let's dive in!

Locate the Instagram section, and click on Connect Instagram account.

This will prompt a modal to connect to your Instagram account and allow syncing of UGC.

Once connected, the associated Instagram account(s) will appear below the track account mentions.

Tracking will be turned off by default, so make sure you turn your account on to start gathering UGC.

Locate the Tiktok section right below the Instagram section, and click on "Add Tiktok account".

This will prompt a modal that will allow you to scan a QR code directly from your phone to connect your TikTok account.

Similar to Instagram, make sure that your TikTok account is properly linked and enabled to start sending UGC to your "My UGC" section.

If you have connected an account that you would like to remove, head over to Settings > Integrations > Social media.

On there, you will find all the connected Instagram and TikTok accounts. Click on the "Disconnect" button next to the account name to disconnect it.

You'll be asked if you're sure you want to disconnect this account. Click on the red "Disconnect" button to continue.

To find your UGC solely through the added accounts, select "Search Criteria" ➡ Filter by Instagram and TikTok accounts, and your feed will display content exclusively from those accounts.

In this article, we'll show you how to mute the social profiles that you’re not interested in. By muting them, their content will no longer be displayed in the "My UGC" section. We will automatically exclude their feed posts, reels, and stories from your Inbox, even if they match your hashtag criteria.

Click on Add account to start muting the profiles you don't want to follow.

On here, you can select either the Instagram or TikTok platforms and then simply enter the account name.

For the Instagram platform: Enter account name ➡ Click Add Account

For the TikTok platform: Enter account name ➡ Click Add Account

You're all set! Now, all posts from these muted profiles will be ignored and will not show up in your "My UGC" section.

If you opt to eliminate a muted profile from your tracking list, just click on the "-" icon to "Remove" it.

You'll be asked to confirm if you want to unmute this account. Once ready, click on "Unmute account".

Yes. Videowise lets you track accounts on both platforms simultaneously. You connect Instagram through the native integration toggle, and TikTok through the QR code scan flow. Once connected, both platforms are monitored independently and their content appears in your UGC feed.

To track a TikTok account, go to the account tracking section in UGC Detect and use the TikTok QR code scan method. Open TikTok on your phone, scan the QR code displayed in Videowise, and the account will be linked and start being tracked automatically.

Yes. When you track an Instagram account, Stories posted by that account are automatically captured and saved in Videowise. This ensures you never miss short-lived content that would otherwise disappear after 24 hours.

You can remove a tracked account by going to Settings, then Integrations, and deleting the account from the list. Once removed, Videowise will stop scraping new content from that account, though any previously collected posts will remain in your library.

Muting a profile hides that creator's content from your UGC feed without fully removing them from tracking. This is useful when you want to temporarily suppress content from a specific account without losing the tracking history or having to re-add them later.
