How to add widgets to SFCC Storefront
This document will provide a step by step guide on how to configure and display a Videowise widget on the SFCC storefront.
Step by Step Guideline:
Configuring the videos that will be shown on non-product pages
Step 1: Open the Videowise dashboard.
Step 2: Open the library and upload/link any videos that will be used on the storefront.
Step 3: Open the publish section, press on “Other Pages” and then on “Add new page”.
Step 4: Enter the page title and URL for the page where the video will be displayed and press on “Add page”.
Step 5: Open the newly added page and configure a widget using the options available.
Step 6: Press on “Copy code” to copy the widget code to your clipboard.
Step 7: Open SFCC BM and go to the page designer.
Step 8: Open the page used in the earlier steps and put the Videowise component in the desired location.
Step 9: Paste the copied Videowise code in the page designer component and save the changes.
Configuring the videos that will be shown on product pages
Step 1: Open the Videowise dashboard.
Step 2: Open the library and upload/link any videos that will be used on the storefront.
Step 3: Open the publish section, press on “Product Pages” and then on “Import products”.
Step 4: Select the products where the videos will be displayed.
Step 5: Open one of the products and configure a widget using the options available.
Step 6: Press on “Copy code” to copy the widget code to clipboard.
Step 7: Add the video you want to be displayed on PDP.
Other possible options to add the Widget to your Page:
- Add it using a Content asset
- Add it using a Content Slots
- Add it by creating a custom Product System Attribute where you can store the Widget HTML
- Any other creative way to add HTML to a page
